More house pictures ( only a few weeks late)

I had said I would post more pictures of the house a few weeks later, but that required cleaning up a a little bit. So these are the final two rooms. If we ever change the basement and fourth bedroom I will post those that will be awhile though.

This is the before picture of the guest bedroom. We stripped the wallpaper, painted, changed the baseboards and changed the window treatments (so 1970's).

This is the finished bedroom (please excuse the mess).

This is family room before. We took down the window treatments and painted the walls a cream color. We are getting ready to change the baseboards and remove the paneling soon.

This is the family room we still have a few things to do down here. But still a huge improvment.

House Remodeling (Before and after pictures)

It occured to me that I haven't really had this blog very long so there are no pictures of our house. We are doing some remodeling so I am going to show some before and after pictures. We still have more to do still, but Mikayla is not really into remodeling.

This is the front of our house. We will probably work on some landscaping soon when we finish the inside and it isn't so hot.

This is after I used a ceramic spray and sprayed the tile. It turned out better then I thought it would I figured we could always pull it off if we had to but I think I will leave it. I don't want to over spend on this house, because of the area I think you can over do it. It is not our forever house so I just want to make cosmetic changes. I painted the walls and changed the base boards to white and still have to paint the doors white (classic Taupe Behr paint I think). We relaced the sink hardware and light. We had a contractor lay the ceramic tile, because I don't know how to do that and frankly it looks like way to much work. I would of most definetely messed it up.

This is the living room before. Blah right ugly, nasty, and dirty carpet.

After we (actually a contractor because we are lazy, there is only so many hours in a day you know) ripped the carpet up sanded the floors and re stained darker. Painted the walls (after taking of wallpaper that was on one wall that is not pictured), changed the baseboards, and took down the ugly window treatments.

I don't have a before picture of this bathroom it was the ugliest bathroom on earth. So scary if I had taken pictures of it, I would of risked breaking my camera. :) But before we moved in we did a complete remodel on it. Luckily and unluckily we still had our other house to live in while they fixed it since it is the only full bath. Brand new vanity, and brand new jacuzzi tub the old one was all cracked and the tile was so old and cracking everywhere. So new tile throughout, paint, and all new fixtures. This was the biggest expense so far, so I think we did well on the house.

This is the 3rd bedroom and the smallest. ( so we decided to make it the nursery). What didn't know and would find out in a VERY short time was that we would be doing that sooner then we thought. Since these picture we changed the base boards to white though.

She is so messy!

I decided to let her try and feed herself some chef Boyardee pasta and meatballs. She loved it but in five minutes this is what she looked like. Luckily I took everything off except her diaper so clean up was a little easier.

Mikayla is 1 years old!

Well I cannot believe it has been a year. It was such a great day, but also sad too. I think of all the things about having in infant I am going to miss and some I am not. :) Then there are going to be some great memories still to come. She got some great new toys and lots of clothes, thanks everyone. Happy Birthday again Baby Girl! Mommy and Daddy Love You!

Her yummy cake and cupcakes, she isnt a cake girl though! Not yet anyways. She got pretty pissed because we kept making her try it.

Laughing!

I love listening to Mikayla laugh, it is the most beautiful sound. When she gets going it is so funny and she has know idea what she is laughing about. Sometimes I will be laughing with someone and she will start laughing, like she understands the joke. We got her going on purpose for the video so enjoy.

Trip to the Zoo with Aunt Jess!

It turned out to be a great day weather-wise. I was nervous because it said good chance of rain. We went anyways thinking that we could duck in indoors if it started raining and do some of the indoor things. But it didn't rain until we were almost back to the car and it stareed to sprinkle. Mikayla had a great time people watching and seeing the animals she was scared to pet the goats in the petting zoo. Here is a few shots of our day and a video of the goat in the petting zoo.

Random pictures!

Mikayla all dolled up for church with Grandma. She stayed the night at Granny E's house so Mommy and Daddy could go to a wedding. This of course called for a brand new fancy dress. A girl can't wear the same dress twice.

We didn't really do very much for Easter, but in her Easter basket from Grandma A she got some really cool glasses.

We had a friend over and his little boy Lincoln. Mikayla has a little of her mom in her can you tell. ;) She did a little flirting at her music table, until he hit her in the head with his bottle. She quickly put him his place though. I think they might just be boyfriend/girlfriend someday. We'll see they sure are cute together. :) Daddy says it is not happening because she is going to be single til she is at least 25 or so.

Just for fun, she is even cute with spagetti o's all over her face.

She is Crawling!

I am late posting this here, I need to be a better blogger. I can't believe how different it is to have a crawling baby. We have officially been baby proofing. She is all over the place. Here is a video I wanted to share of her crawling. It is kind of dark though. Ignore my voice of course Mom's have to make fools of ourselves for our kids enjoyment. :) Enjoy!

9 Months Check-up

Just here with an update on Mikayla stats, sorry no pictures. She had her nine month appointment at Dr. Holmes office and she weighs 16 pounds and 7 ounces and is 28 inches long. We have a future pro basketball player on our hands, so she can pay mommy and daddy back for all those pampers. :) She got a shot and didn't even notice, I was amazed. I was holding her when she gave her the shot and she didn't cry or anything. Maybe if there was a second shot she would of caught on. It was a pretty uneventful weekend or I would have more to say. Maybe something more to write about soon.

When we got home from the park she took a nap and then I went in to put away some of her clothes. While she sat and played in her crib. Well I turn around and this is what I found.

That little booger stood up on her own and was chewing on her crib. So I think we are going to have a walking beaver soon. :) Seriously though she is growing way to fast.

This weather is so beautiful!

Since it was such a beautiful day, and I was off work. We went to the park and Mikayla had so much fun. She watched all the other kid's run and play.

She got to go on the big girl swing. I was afraid she was going to be scared but she loved it.

The picture was a little bright from the sun.

Then we had a picnic with just Cheerio's and juice. We played with some paper from the mail, who said you need fancy toys for kid's. Paper can be a whole lot of fun for a 9 month old. :)

We have our bottom teeth!

My bottom teeth finally came in. Mommy's is glad because I kept waking up at night sometimes because they were hurting. Now I am fine and backed to sleeping good again. Mommy and Daddy think I am so cute now with two teeth. Not that I wasn't cute before. ;)

Better late then never!

I have started a blog. I figure I read enough of them I might as well have one too. I think it will be a good thing for M to look at when she is older.

I will be posting some fun pictures and updates, but for now this is just a start.
